Dear Jim:
You asked if we would provide you with some thoughts for use
on your Website regarding our experience working with you over the last several
years and I am pleased to do so In this latter. As you know, we are extremely
pleased with the results of the additions and internal renovations that you did
on our house. Your willingness to collaborate with our architect, Myefski &
Cook Ltd., and the uncompromising dedication to producing a quality product are
much appreciated and certainly a major reason for the fact that our project received
the 2003 Preservation Award from the Village of Glencoe's Preservation Commission.
As you will recall, when we were in the initial interviewing
process, I told you I was impressed by your business-like approach, the fact that
you work with your crews and are frequently "on site," and the recommendations
we had received from your painting sub-contractor (whom we have used for many
years), as wail as your uncompromising emphasis on quality.
Not only was the quality top-of-the-line, but also you and your
crews were simply delightful to work with. There were no "jurisdictional
gaps" or "where is the contractor?" issues, and the consistent
and cooperative team you put together made it possible to "live through the
construction" without unreasonable disruption to our family's lifestyle.
While I could go on for a long time derailing my praises for
you and your group, I understand that you would like in. to keep it short and
readable. Accordingly. I'll simply note one other important point - which is to
comment on your follow-up after the job was done and paid for. We had a couple
small problems over the last year (a frozen pipe due to my forgetting to turn
of a new outlet and some modest water issues In the basement of the new addition,
due to art old broken sewer-line going out to the village hook-up). While neither
problem was a result of your work, you immediately responded to help me identify
the best way to remedy the problems. Such unnecessary "post-closing"
attention is indicative of the kind of person you are and the kind of relationship
you build with your customers while you build your quality projects.
We would be glad to provide a further discussion us a part of
the reference process for any of your future clients and we look forward to a
continuing, long friendship.
Sincerely,
Donald L. Schwartz
