Dear Jim,

Warren and I are thrilled with the additional and renovations to our home, I'm sure veryone going through a project of this size - particularly when it involves a new kitchen - dreads the construction process and wonders if the outcome will be worth the agony. Although we were strangers to you in the beginning, I remember you saying before the demolition started that one of your primary goals was "to make sure we were friends when the project was complete," Well, mission accomplished!

Aside from top quality construction, one of the many things we appreciated most about your operation was the ease of communication. In fact, you were the only one of five contractors we interviewed who actually encouraged us to remain in our home during construction, a - decision for which we have no regrets. We always felt like we were in the loop - there were no big surprises and your team solicited and respected our input. Never did we feel like patronized property owners. Every day we had questions and decisions to make, and every day Richard and his crew responded patiently and professionally. Your subcontractors were all top notch, too. As a result, we love the outcome... and so do our friends and family.

Jim, we're also very grateful for your construction expertise in structural issues and for your concern about our safety. You uncovered and corrected a couple of major structural
deficiencies in our 45+ year old home and helped bring us up to code in other areas. It would have no doubt been more expedient for you to just "press on" and execute the plans. but you took the time to help us make some very important improvements in a cost efficient manner.

Last but not least, we have to compliment Spicak Construction on your accounting process. You've perfected the paperwork system. Although the project spanned almost a year, we always knew exactly where we stood relative to the base contract and to individual aspects of the total project. Change orders were detailed and timely, invoices were accompanied by appropriate waivers, and credits were issued as quickly as they were incurred. You were always happy to personally discuss and reconcile any disparities between billings and allocations, so our comfort level was never compromised. We knew your focus was to deliver quality construction and to honor the contract, and you did.
